Marketing Assistant and Sales Operations Coop Student – 6- Month Contract

At Dalton we are supportive, innovative, and looking to expand our team! We are seeking a new Marketing Assistant and Sales Operations Coop Student. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, self-starter, energetic, out-of-the box thinker. Dalton Pharma Services is pharmaceutical manufacturer so the candidate chosen for this opportunity will need to be opened to learning about the pharmaceutical industry. This position requires strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. You must be able to do a wide range of marketing projects and task-oriented work, be self-motivated, able to work well alone and under tight time constraints.

Job Description:

  • Research branding markets and study Dalton’s brand to implement new strategies.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute social media, mailer (lumpy), and email campaigns.
  • Coordinate content for various social media platforms and company website.
  • Plan, execute, and track success of paid LinkedIn Ads.
  • Assist with the logistics of marketing material distribution.
  • Present and execute creative ideas for marketing activities for Employer Branding.
  • Develop and optimize the company’s culture board to include information and insights to communicate company culture.
  • Assist in the creation of sales and marketing priorities, plans, and budgets.
  • Coordinate sales operations, including monthly sales and KPI reporting.
  • Track SEO to ensure our practices are effective and are up to date.
  • Assist with the daily administrative tasks (research, filing, meeting coordination, etc.) as required.
  • Enrolled in or recently graduated: degree/diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or another related field.

Job Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (MS Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Canva software.
  • Strong organizational and time management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Driven to achieve goals and learn new skills.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Team player
  • Prior experience in marketing is an asset.
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical industry is an asset.

Project Manager

As a member of the Project Management team, the Project Manager will be working as part of a dynamic department that plans, executes, and finalizes projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating team efforts of members across departments, third-party contractors or consultants (when necessary) to deliver projects according to plan

The successful candidate must have excellent communication and presentation skills and be extremely self-motivated.


  • Good knowledge of the Canadian GMPs and FDA cGMP guidelines.
  • A good understanding of production, design and fabrication methodologies.
  • Excellent ability to manage staff and to work with team members, partners, contractors and consultants.
  • Strong planning, organizational and administrative skills suitable for project management.
  • Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Word, Excel; comfortable with internet and email.
  • Coordinating multiple projects (S/M) at the same time. Skills and Experience
  • Proven track record of successful project deliverables; work to schedule and specification.


  • Project Management experience preferred.
  • Enrolment in project management certification; completion of introductory PM course.
  • PMP designation is an asset.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of work experience in a related field.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills and ability to influence and align technical support to client needs.
